RECOLLECTION OF THE 2006 ASIAN FESTIVAL
|
During the 12th Arizona Asian Festival conducted from April 21 to April 23, 2006 in Phoenix, the Indonesian community did actively participate in the festivity.
Fariz Gesiradja and Group brightened the opening morning with their “keroncong”, the renowned traditional music loved by most Indonesians.
On the second day, Saturday, the Indonesian troopers came up with a number of programs. Anom Kusumosari presented her group to beautiful dance “Tari Rampai”,
Mia Kruk offered her exceptional talent in her solo dance called “Tari Topeng”, and gorgeous couples from a variety of Indonesian regions displayed their unique
wedding costumes in the “Brides of Asia” show. The day became more cheerful when a group of Indonesian kids wearing colorful ethnic dresses appeared on the stage
in the “Multicultural Costume and Fashion Show”.
On the last day, Anom Kusumosari presented her excellent “Golek Manis” dance, following the lovely performance
of two little Indonesian dancers Sabrina Suhartono and Serena Suwarno in “Tari Pendet”. The three days festival was a truly collaborative successful event.
Kudos to those who support and those who get involved in the celebration. These PHOTOGRAPHS depict the snapshots of the happy event.
