To show our appreciation to the organizing committee members for their contribution to the Nostalgia Indonesia 2006 event, the IAA board members arranged a luncheon
on Saturday - January 6, 2007. Approximately 60 people attended. Traditional yellow rice with a variety of Indonesian food was served for lunch.
In their evaluation, each of the committee members agreed that the December 2, 2006 event was a great success to the IAA. Their opinion was based on a number of reasons why
Nostalgia Indonesia 2006 was a success:
- The event was conducted with an efficiently managed budget, producing a positive balance sheet.
- It resulted in a big turn out. As a matter of fact, there was a bigger demand for tickets than the number of seats available. Unfortunately, only 200 people could be accommodated.
- After the show, audience went home happy.
- The event brought people closer together, sharing the good feeling of becoming part of a big family.
- The program was rich, full with varied and enjoyable performances.
- The program progressed smoothly from one performance to the next.
- The event gained full participation from members of the community, working together as a team, and everybody was enthusiastic.
- The kids! They enjoy the event and the parents feel the event represents a good learning experience for the children.
Suggestions from the members include, among others: rent a bigger banquet room for the next event; and to provide the more detailed English explanation on the white screen for
each of the performances.
